About The Artist - Misty Frederick I'm an artist and graphic designer from State College, PA. I enjoy all kinds of creative pursuits including collage (mixed media and digital), photography, acrylic painting, jewelry making, crazy quilting, and working with clay. I enjoy sharing my love for art with others and I'm starting to teach art workshops in 2010. I belong to a few artist groups including Red Dog Scott's Capolan and Traveler's H'Art and The Recollection Parlor, hosted by Trudi Sissons. I also volunteer for the The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, held each summer in State College, PA and on the Penn State Campus. Artist's Statement I have been drawn to colors, textures, and patterns for as long as I can remember. I am driven to create and I am inspired by the beauty found in nature. I strive to learn from others and love to share what I know with others too. My art is my medicine, my meditation, and my joy. I cherish the time I spend in my tiny studio.
